One thing that motivated me to buy a professional version of MD was their  mission statement of MD developing into making fantasy and gaming clothes.

I never saw any such statement. Do you have a link?

Yeah, I´m curious about that too.

I hope MD re-thinks their ORIGINAL development strategy and gets the mesh they have to stick to the body in a symmetrical way so we can create some real fantasy clothes that are the mainstay of the Poser/Daz/RDNA marketplace.

Please explain.  Their original strategy was to  get a mesh stick to the body in a symmetrical way? What does that mean?

What technical difference does it make if the clothes are regular clothes or fantasy cloths?

TasP´s web site R Y U U - K O U shows many beautiful designs and patterns, I wouldn´t mind not seeing fantasy/gaming figures if that what I saw instead. But unfortunately rows and rows of ordinary everyday clothes fails to stimulate me in any way. Maybe the gallery should be moderated?

CGSociety has a good system. Upload as much as you want to your private gallery, but if you want "to go public" you have to make a request that is careful considered by experienced people.

I must have missed something.

What in the world are you talking about?

Unfortunately, I have no link. I bought MD when it first came out and there was a lot discussion about it in the forums.

I see no reason why they need to moderate their gallery since it doesn´t claim to showcase professional work only. It is just a user gallery. Now, I think it would be cool if they broke the gallery into subsections similar to the one at DAZ. That said, I see no problem with also keeping a general user gallery where anyone can post.

Yeah, you lied. There was never such mission statement. But, in your eagerness to claim MD for yourself and to paint others as undesireables that do not belong here, you claimed there was. Simply because MD had some early success (if you can even call it that) in the DAZ/Poser community, it does not mean that the software was written for that market only.

Something I really like seeing, is how much enjoyment people get when using Marvelous Designer. When they post their images to the gallery ( even if they aren´t very good) , it´s something they had fun doing, and worked hard at.

It doesn´t matter that the image next to theirs was done by a master artist or not.

I think some people are lacking that feeling.  They complain about things they can´t do, instead of marveling at the things they can.

Just to make something clear I am not a professional (just aspiring). But Designer "lululee" is and one of the best, check out her site at Renderosity  http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=21157 - almost exclusively conforming clothing - the most difficult and demanding stuff requiring extensive knowledge of Poser´s in depth intricacies combined with flair and style. A rare combination!

I totally agree with that, Tom. Beyond that, I´d hate if the MD forum and gallery had the same atmosphere as CG Society.
