My second entry for the June contest. I used the lines and fold strength tool to create detail leaf veins. There are 8 leaves sewn in alternating layers to create the skirt and 2 more strategically stitched to create the cape. The hardest part of this outfit was making the fairy wings, the leather belt setting in fabric presets wasn´t quite stiff enough but in the end I am (almost) satisfied with the result. Rendered in Daz Studio and a vignette effect added to the final rendered image to try and enhance the 3d effect.
Constructive comments and suggestions to improve my work are always welcome!

Looks good, but I think the leaf vein details get lost in the repeating leaf texture.
It has a camouflage effect.
If you hadn´t posted the untextured version, I may not have noticed the vein work.
Instead of having a bunch of repeating small leaves, you should try creating a custom texture that emphasises the veins and makes them look like large leaves.

Thanks Tom, I know you are absolutely right on the texture, I´m having a hard time figuring out how to get textures to the right scale in Daz Studio, nothing seems to work the way I think it should lol......if only the textures I put on in MD would follow the garments on export!

Nice work. I like the quilting look of the leaf veins.

If you leave "unified uv coordinates" unselected, you should get the same texture that you see inside marvelous designer.
But for this particular garment, I think you should use unified uv coordinates. Then you could bring your patterns into photoshop or gimp and create a custom texture for each pattern that makes them look like leaves. You can paint right on top of the patterns.

Had another go at the fairy wings, much happier with this try! Just went out into the yard and plucked some leaves for reference, will have a go at the texture next! I did upload another image to show the new wings.
