We’d also like to clarify something, as we’ve received many questions about whether the contest is limited to designers in Japan. The good news is—this contest is open to everyone! While the theme celebrates the beauty of Japanese culture, participation is not restricted to Japan.

You may upload your final image either on X(Twitter) or Connect Community with hashtags #mdcc2025vol1 and #marvelousdesignercontest, then upload on Connect with the contest name “MarvelousDesignerクリエイターズコンテスト2025Vol1”. The judging criteria and the reward will be as below. Community Choice Award will be determined by the total amount of likes in Connect, Community Page, and X.

• Storytelling and uniqueness (50%)

• Attention to the design details (35%)

• General render quality and completeness (15%)

Please note that, as stated in the contest guidelines, the prizes will be awarded in person at the Japan User Summit this November in Tokyo.

Unfortunately, shipping is not available, so if the winner is unable to attend the event, the prize will be limited to Connect badges.
