How To Proceed Version Update

Follow a simple procedure to purchase the version update.

Purchase the version update to 12 through the 'Dashboard' on the Marvelous Designer website.

Alternatively, you can purchase directly via the following links (login required):

If you are eligible for update/trade-in purchase, "START NOW" button will appear in the dashboard.

Update Purchase Available Period

You can continue to purchase an update to Marvelous Designer 12 Perpetual, 7 days after Marvelous Designer version 2024.0 is released (the exact date will be sent as a notification via email)

After this period, updates for perpetual licenses will no longer be available.

THINGS TO KNOW

Q1. Can I continue using my perpetual license even after the update purchase support is discontinued?

Yes, you can continue using your perpetual license. However, technical support could be limited according to the software support policy. The level of support may vary depending on the version and product. For more details, check the Marvelous Designer support policy.

Q2. What is the difference between version update and trade-in?

• Version Update: You can update your perpetual license to version 12 while you maintain your other perpetual license. 

• Trade-in: You are able to exchange your existing perpetual license through a "Trade-in" option for a 1 year subscription (for personal users) OR 2 year subscription (for enterprise users). After you receive either the 1 year or 2 year subscription depending on your user type, you will no longer have access to your Perpetual license. During the period of subscription, all users will be guaranteed to the latest version of the software without any additional charges or fees.

** Note: The eligibility criteria and prices are the same for both version update and trade-in.

Q3.  If I update my perpetual license to version 12 Perpetual, can I purchase an update to version 2024.0?

No, purchasing updates for perpetual licenses are only available up to Marvelous Designer 12. Any releases after Marvelous Designer 12, are not eligible for purchase. Marvelous Designer 2024.0 will be subscription only.

Q4. Can I use versions 12.1/12.2 with updating to version 12?

Yes, you can use all versions -12/12.1/12.2 

Q5. I own a perpetual license and want to use version 2024.0. What should I do?

We will recommend a trade-in purchase option for you. Trade-in option will have you give up your perpetual license for a subscription license type (the period of subscription will depend on your license type, see below). Subscription type license will allow you to have the most up to date version of Marvelous Designer during the duration of subscription.

• For individual users (Personal): Your Perpetual License → Convert to 1 Year Subscription License 

• For company/academic users (Enterprise/Academic): Your Perpetual License → Convert to 2 Year Subscription License (per copy) 

Q6. I have a perpetual license version 8 or lower. Can I update to version 12? 

If your current perpetual license corresponds to versions 9, 10, or 11, you can either select a 'Version Update' or opt for 'Trade-In' However, if you have version 8 or lower, updating to version 12 is not possible.

Q7. Does this policy apply to both personal and enterprise licenses?

Yes, these changes apply to both personal and enterprise licenses.
