All new licenses will be available as subscription-only so that we may update new features, fix bugs, and improve other services more promptly. Existing perpetual licenses will continue to be available to those who have purchased them prior to the policy change, though new pricing policies will apply when new or additional licenses are purchased.

All new policies will take effect from version 10 scheduled for release in late November this year.

PERSONAL LICENSE

The price of a personal license will be reduced to $39 and this subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis. You can get a 40% discount for prepaying 12 months in advance.

Existing perpetual licenses can be used permanently. If a version of your perpetual license is less than 3 versions behind the latest version, you’re eligible for a 'Version Update' or 'License Trade' .

Version Update:

Version Update for perpetual license will be available up to Marvelous Designer 12. 

License Trade:

You can trade in your Personal Perpetual License for a 1 year subscription. After that, the perpetual license will be retrieved and cannot be reused.

(The eligibility and price of Version Update and License Trade are the same.)

ENTERPRISE LICENSE

Enterprise Standalone Annual($1,700) will be newly added and the price of Network Annual will be raised to $1,900.

Existing perpetual licenses can be used permanently. If a version of your perpetual license is less than 3 versions behind the latest version, you’re eligible for a 'Version Update' or 'License Trade' .

Version Update:

Version Update for perpetual license will be available up to Marvelous Designer 12. 

License Trade:

You can trade in your Enterprise Perpetual License for a 2-year subscription. After that, the perpetual license will be retrieved and cannot be reused.

For example,

Enterprise Standalone Perpetual x1 → Enterprise Standalone 2-year subscription x1

Enterprise Network Perpetual x1 → Enterprise Network 2-year subscription x1

(The eligibility and price of Version Update and License Trade are the same.)

Please note that technical support is officially available for less than 3 versions behind the then-current version.

* Marvelous Designer Student License

A student license will be newly added. If you are a student, you can get a student discount for 3 years. Like a personal monthly license, the subscription will automatically renew and is priced at US$15 per month. Once you cancel the subscription the discount cannot be offered again, even if you re-subscribe. This student discount can be provided only once in a lifetime per user.

All licenses except for Enterprise Network Offline requires an internet connection. Hardware Key(for Personal and Enterprise Standalone License) will no longer be provided.

Q. When will this new price policy be applied?

The new pricing policy applies from Marvelous Designer 10 which will be released in late November 2020.

Q. I already have a perpetual license. Can I use it continuously?

Yes, you can use it permanently unless you trade it for a subscription.

Q. How do I know if my perpetual license is subject to update or subscription conversion?

 If a version of your perpetual license is less than 3 versions behind the latest version, you’re eligible for a 'Version Update' or 'License Trade'.

Q. Can I change my perpetual license to a subscription?

Yes, only when a version of your perpetual license is eligible for the ‘License Trade’, you can.

If you have a personal perpetual, you can trade it for a one-year subscription. 

If you have an enterprise perpetual, you can trade it for a two-year subscription license.

Upon the trade, the perpetual license will be retrieved and cannot be reused.

Q. I’m not eligible for Version Update or License Trade. How can I use the latest version?

You should purchase a new license to use the latest version. All purchases for new/additional seats are available through subscription only.

Q. Can I purchase a personal annual license?

Personal licenses are priced on a monthly basis, but you can select the ‘1 Year, Prepaid’ option for prepaying 12 months in advance with a 40% discount.

Q. Will my subscription automatically renew?

Only the Personal license - Monthly plan automatically renews. If you want to stop the recurring payment,  you can cancel it on My Page easily.
